Pilatus PC-12 For Sale
The Pilatus PC-12 is a single engine turboprop manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft in Stans, Switzerland. First delivered in 1994, the PC-12 has become the best selling pressurised single engine turboprop in aviation history, with over 1,900 aircraft delivered worldwide. Its combination of a large cabin, long range, short field capability, and a versatile cargo door has made it one of the most practical aircraft in its class.
Powered by a single Pratt and Whitney Canada PT6A-67B engine producing 1,200 shaft horsepower, the PC-12 cruises at approximately 280 knots with a range of 1,845 nautical miles. The cabin seats six to nine passengers and features a flat floor, stand up headroom, and a large 53 by 52 inch cargo door on the left side that enables rapid configuration changes between passenger, cargo, and combi layouts.
Variants and Evolution
The PC-12 has evolved through several variants. The PC-12/45 (1996) introduced a higher maximum takeoff weight. The PC-12/47 (2006) added a more powerful PT6A-67P engine. The PC-12 NG (2008) brought a major update with the Honeywell Primus Apex avionics suite, improved engine performance, and a redesigned cabin. The current PC-12 NGX (2020) features the PT6E-67XP engine with full authority digital engine control, further improving performance and reducing pilot workload.
The PC-12 competes with the TBM 850 and King Air B200, offering more cabin volume than the TBM and lower operating costs than the twin engine King Air.
