The Embraer Phenom 100 is a very light jet that entered service in 2008 as Embraer's entry into the business aviation market. Designed in collaboration with BMW Designworks, the Phenom 100 features a distinctively modern cabin interior that set new standards for passenger comfort in the entry level jet category. Over 380 aircraft have been delivered to operators worldwide.

Powered by two Pratt and Whitney Canada PW617F-E engines, each producing 1,695 pounds of thrust, the Phenom 100 cruises at approximately 390 knots with a range of 1,178 nautical miles. The cabin seats four to six passengers and offers a flat floor, an enclosed lavatory, and a generous 72 cubic feet of baggage space. The aircraft is certified for single pilot operation.

Variants

The Phenom 100E (2014) introduced more powerful PW617F1-E engines with improved hot and high performance, along with an upgraded interior and increased maximum takeoff weight. The current production Phenom 100EV features Garmin G3000 touchscreen avionics replacing the earlier Prodigy avionics suite, plus further performance improvements. All variants share the same basic airframe and cabin dimensions.

The Phenom 100 competes with the Cessna CJ1 and HondaJet in the light jet segment. For operators needing more range and cabin space, the Phenom 300 offers a significant step up in capability within the Embraer family.

Buying a Pre Owned Phenom 100

The Phenom 100 offers a modern, efficient light jet with strong manufacturer support. When evaluating a used example, review engine condition, time remaining before hot section inspection, and whether the aircraft is enrolled in Pratt and Whitney's ESP programme. The PW617F engine is relatively young in terms of fleet maturity, and support infrastructure continues to expand.

Interior condition is typically excellent, as the BMW designed cabin uses durable, high quality materials. Avionics differences between the original Prodigy system and the newer G3000 on the 100EV are significant, so cockpit configuration should be weighed carefully.
