Hawker 400XP For Sale
The Hawker 400XP is a light twin engine business jet with an unusual heritage. Originally designed and built by Mitsubishi as the MU-300 Diamond in 1978, the aircraft was acquired by Beech Aircraft (later Raytheon, then Hawker Beechcraft) and redesignated as the Beechjet 400A in 1990. The Hawker 400XP designation was applied from 2003, incorporating improved engines, enhanced interior appointments, and updated avionics.
Powered by two Pratt and Whitney Canada JT15D-5 engines, each producing 2,965 pounds of thrust, the Hawker 400XP cruises at 448 knots with a range of approximately 1,500 nautical miles. The cabin seats seven passengers in a typical configuration with a small refreshment centre and an enclosed lavatory. The aircraft is certified for single pilot operation, making it popular with owner operators.
Design and Capabilities
The 400XP features a low, swept wing design with distinctive engine nacelles mounted on the aft fuselage. Its performance places it at the upper end of the light jet category, with a higher cruise speed than many competitors. The Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite provides modern situational awareness with multifunction displays, while the trailing link main landing gear delivers comfortable landings on a variety of runway surfaces.
The Hawker 400XP competes directly with the Learjet 40 and the Embraer Phenom 100 in the light jet market, offering a wider cabin than the Learjet and a higher cruise speed than the Phenom.
